Time to Sign Up for Leadership Perryton XII

Leadership Perryton XII is just around the corner! The nine-month leadership series—beneficial to entrepreneurs, managers, and employees alike—will feature first-rate speakers, tours, workshops, networking, a retreat, and much more. Topics include communication, conflict management, motivation, leadership styles, customer service, and team building. Participants also will learn more about the community through local business and industry tours of county and city government, oil production, medical, education, agriculture, medical, and retail facilities.

In the 11 years since Leadership Perryton’s inception, 240 people have graduated from the program. Equal or superior to any leadership program in the country, Leadership Perryton brings in national speakers and teaches skills that would cost much more money and time if done outside the program. It’s an exciting way to learn about the community and meet new people. Every participant also learns more about himself or herself and gains self-confidence. In addition, participants obtain skills to improve relationships in their families, at work, and in the community. In turn, employers gain motivated employees with increased confidence, improved customer service skills, and new leadership tools.

Orientation will take place at noon on August 7, and there will be a retreat at Ceta Canyon in September. Sessions will be held one Friday a month from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in October through May. The program is $625, which may be paid by the individual or the participant’s employer.

Registration is limited to 25 to 30 people, so be sure to sign up as soon as possible if you’re interested! Applications are available at the Perryton Community Development Corporation (located in City Hall at 110 S. Ash) and the Perryton-Ochiltree Chamber of Commerce (2000 S. Main).

The application deadline is Monday, July 29. Payment is not due until September, and payment plans are available.
