Tee Time

Now that summer is here, it’s time to spend some time enjoying the great outdoors. For those of you who like to hit the links, this summer, there are multiple tournaments and events at Perryton Municipal Golf Course, including the popular Oil Patch Tournament in July.

Each week until mid August, there is the Thursday Night Scramble, which is open to everyone. The entry fee is $10 per golfer per night, and each team plays a regular scramble for nine holes. Total prize money reaches several thousand dollars each year, and there’s also a progressive hole-in-one cash pot that each golfer is entered into each week. If you’re interested in playing in the Thursday Night Scramble, check out additional information here.

For younger developing golfers, on June 27 through 30, the golf course will host the 2011 Junior Golf Camp. The camp will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. each day.

On several weekends this summer and fall, the course also will host the following tournaments:

June 18 — Serendipity Tournament

July 8 through 10 — Oil Patch Tournament

July 23 — Crimestoppers Tournament

August 6 — Beehive Daycare Tournament

August 20 — Perryton Activity Center Tournament
