Perryton Athlete To Play in Elite All-American Bowl

Perryton High School senior Jake Whittenburg will compete in the 2013 Blue Grey All-American Bowl at AT&T Stadium (Dallas Cowboys Stadium) in Arlington on December 22. Jake is one of 90 seniors selected from more than 6,750 (making him among the top 1%) who competed at regional combines to play in the game.

Each spring, Blue Grey Football holds 12 regional combines at NFL stadiums and practice facilities throughout the country. The top prospects from the regional combines are then invited to participate in a Super Combine. From there, the best are selected to compete in one of two All-American Bowls at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, or Raymond James Stadium, home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m., and it will be televised on Fox Sports. Jake will wear #19 and will be a member of Team West.

Jake is a running back, wide receiver, and safety. After he graduates, Jake plans to play football in college. “I can’t state any colleges at this time, but I do hope that the game improves my stock in the recruiting process,” he says.
