Lakeside Dining

Located approximately 15 miles south of Perryton at Wolf Creek Park and Lake Fryer, Lobo offers lakeside dining. Owned by Troy and Brenda Huddleston, the restaurant serves classic comfort food.

Its home-cooked meals range from sandwiches and burgers to barbecue and chicken-fried steak. But for starters, order the crispy, hand-battered onion rings. If you’re looking to eat on the lighter side, the Huddlestons also serve terrific grilled chicken breasts.

On Friday nights Lobo has an all-you-can-eat fried catfish buffet, and on Sunday it offers an “all-homemade” buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In addition to its in-restaurant offerings, Lobo caters events, including those at Wolf Creek Park’s covered areas and lakeside gazebo. And if you want to take some of the Lobo home with you, you can purchase a jar of its Big T’s Texas-Style Picante or Big T’s Texas BBQ Sauce.

While you’re at the Lobo, take a walk (or drive) around Wolf Creek Park. Chances are you’ll catch a glimpse of more than one kind of wildlife. The park is home to deer, antelope, turkeys, coyotes, porcupines, raccoons, squirrels, and more. Be sure to look to the sky too. You may even spot a bald eagle. Lake Fryer is stocked with bass, blue catfish, channel catfish, crappie, perch, and rainbow trout in season.

For those spending more time at the lake or park, the Lobo has a general store with ice, grocery items, kids’ swimming toys and floats, and camping and RV supplies. You can read more about Wolf Creek Park here, but in short, it offers the following:

  • Two playgrounds
  • Tennis and volleyball courts
  • Three rentable covered areas for special events
  • Hiking and biking trails
  • Two floating fishing piers
  • Boat ramp
