Celebration of Giving

As many of you know, in early December, the Toys for Tots building in Perryton was burglarized, and approximately $8,000-worth of items (Christmas gifts for underprivileged children up to 18 years old) were stolen.

To combat this horrible crime, the community (Perrytonites and people from all over the Panhandle) banded together to save the kids’ Christmas. Individuals, businesses, and organizations donated more than enough to restock Toys for Tots.

Today, December 21, the gifts will be distributed, and a Celebration of Giving will be held at 6 p.m. at the Ochiltree County Courthouse. There will be caroling and prayers, and at 6:30, the vehicles carrying the Toys for Tots gifts will parade by for all to see.

So come out and celebrate being a part of such a generous community!
